I had the same reaction when I saw that billboard too. But I would consider they, AMERICAN APPAREL, is trying to complete with designer clothes like GAP or even DIESEL. I buy their t-shirts because they support living wages for their garment workers and they're based in Downtown. -Gregorio
Yeah I'd feel better about getting slightly tingly about their photos if the models looked at least 25 yrs old. What sucks even more so is super models on Vogue, Elle, etc. start their careers in their teens. With all the glamorous make-up they tend to look older but if stripped of that I have a feeling they'd look just like the American Apparel girls. Ay vey! If that was my daughter I'd die.

If you do a bit of googling about them, you'll find that they have a history of sexual harassment problems surrounding their CEO/photographer.
